“Without data, I couldn’t do my job. The job market today is very competitive. With so many candidates, the challenge is to determine which one is the best fit for the position I am recruiting for. That’s why I use a candidate tracking system and other tools to screen out the most suitable candidates based on their experience and skills. This speeds up the recruitment process and allows me to hire the right people quickly.

“There are two aspects to recruiting: the first is finding the right candidate for the position. The second is to sell the organization to that candidate and get him or her to spend time interviewing and considering the position. If it’s your company, talk about your long history and industry leadership, the long tenure of past employees, your company culture, and the benefits you offer your employees. Also mention all the awards the company has received and that it is recognized as one of the best employers in both the industry and the local area.”

4. What is your relationship with your recruiter?

Recruiters are my clients, so I try to build and maintain a close relationship with them. I try to understand their needs as well as the management style and culture of their organization. I also try to get to know them personally. That way, we can find the right candidate for the position and the organization we’re recruiting for. It also allows us to position candidates in a way that they understand.”

5. As a recruiter, what importance do you attach to candidates’ LinkedIn and Twitter profiles?

‘I regularly use social media as one of the criteria for candidate selection. While this is not a primary criterion, it can help confirm or deny a candidate’s first impression, as well as reveal aspects of their personal life that may affect their effectiveness as an employee. If we detect any disturbing activity on a candidate’s social media accounts, we let him or her know before the interview. In most cases, this is not a problem, but in a few cases we have been unable to recommend candidates who would not have gotten the job because of it.”

6. What will you do if the most preferred candidate turns down your offer?

You may be disappointed because you spent a lot of effort applying for the job. However, it is up to him/her to choose the company he/she wants to choose. But which company he/she chooses is his/her own decision. Then I would try to find out why you rejected the job offer. This would help me improve my recruitment process.

7. How do you handle rejected candidates?

Rejections are heartbreaking, and I try to treat such cases with the utmost care. We reject candidates as painlessly as possible. If a company or recruiter rejects a candidate, we try to let them know as soon as possible. I always return phone calls, thank the candidate for the effort and time they took to apply, and try to behave responsibly. Then we send an email to talk to them again. If we decline an offer, we tell them very briefly.

8. What is the role of the HR recruiter?

9. What was the main challenge you faced during your last role? How did you manage?

Basically, my last workplace had many problems with the program. Although their reason was valid, we missed out on really good candidates who either got fired or wanted to change jobs. I had a meeting with the HR managers and explained some of the benefits of the referral program. I also talked to employees to find out what they think about these programs. The company saw the sense and together with the HR managers we worked on a good referral program.

10. List the main challenge you foresee in this role

I discovered that your company does not allow referral programs. Although I have excellent recruiting skills, these programs usually come in handy, especially if an organization needs employees on short notice. However, I hope that I will be able to convince you and that, if possible, we will come up with a good referral program.

11. How Do You Stay Motivated at Work?

I am a hard worker. I make sure that I am motivated at all times to properly handle my roles. I set goals and deadlines that I push myself to achieve. I took up meditation which helped me improve my focus. I also like to succeed in whatever I do. I don’t know how to stop until I get everything I set out to do right.

I have worked in similar companies and therefore understand what is required when it comes to new talents. The work culture of your company also speaks for itself and I want to be a part of it.

13. Briefly Describe Your Experience

This is my tenth year of recruiting. I started as a human resource assistant before I moved up to management in my fifth year. I manage personnel for various companies involving IT, manufacturing, production, and also non-governmental organizations. I believe I have what it takes to be efficient in this role.
